Wow, that was a lot of people! Now most of them are gone home and things are much quieter around here. Brucie and I are not sure how to handle the lack of spoiling aunties and cousins, good thing Spring and family still live around here or we'd be very sad! (not to mention the constant spoiling from mummi and papa!)
All this beauty sleep IS paying off though. The Dr says I am very healthy. I weighed in at 10lbs 12ozs! Sweet! That's 2 1/2 lbs more than last time! Only down side was some immunizations- one by mouth to prevent rotovirus, and one shot against diptheria and some other freaky sounding stuff. Also, I have Thrush. Not cool. Now my mouth is all purple (or maybe technically violet from the hippy cure- gentian violet that mama bought me).
Apparently I've been in the water at the beach quite a bit lately, but since mama wears me in the sling and the water is only slightly higher than 4 feet at any spot, I haven't gotten wet so I really haven't noticed. Also I sleep for almost the entire experience. The other day when I did wake up mama dipped my toes in and I was sad, it was COLD, or as we say in New England, it was "refreshing". Luckily I calmed down quickly and she put me back in the cozy dry sling. So in the end, mama gets to wade into the water and have fun and I get to nap in the sling and be mostly dry (except when the waves take her by surprise and my bum gets a little wet). All in all its a good plan.
